LoveFocus Photography is Here!

This morning I was able to launch my latest idea: a non-profit photography site!  It is only in the beginning stages, but it is off to a good start.
The concept behind LoveFocus is to enable common people, such as myself, to become involved in good works around the world.  I can't go to India this September to work with the orphans in Muinpar, but Jessie Schmucker can...and I can take awesome photos!

Jessie, from Winter Haven, Florida is not only a good friend but an awesome first "love focus"!  Anyone who needs photography work simply contacts LoveFocus Photography to schedule a session and selects an individual to support. 

The proceeds of the photo session go directly into the selected cause. So, in Jessie's case, your Christmas card might have helped an orphan in Munipar who will never meet you, but will have a better life because of you. 

New individuals or causes can be recommended to me, to be added as potential donation recipients.
I won't be able to accept any Florida sessions until August 15, 2012, as I will be in NYC and DC, however, Florida photography session can be scheduled now for when I return.  If you live in NYC or DC, now is your chance.

Opportunities in 2012

My adobe skills are a bit rusty but I created this little reminder for myself to create and use the opportunities of the new year. In the new year I plan to DO something with all of the opportunities.  Today was focusing on getting well.  Happy New Year!

"My Name is Andy. Andy Davis." If this quirky, bird/fish-on-a-stick logo, or whatever you want to call it, could speak, that is what it would say.

This trademark symbol of Andy Davis, a California artist known for his simple-line art depicting beach and surf scenes can be found in any self-respecting surf or beach shop.

A simple google search for "Ando and Friends" will reveal several places to purchase his look.

Vans carry a line of "Ando and Friends" on flip flops and other shoes, Thalia Surf shop, along with several other shops feature several tees and board-short options.

I enjoy Andy Davis' art because it is so clean and understated.

He says what he wants to say without over-using any lines.

In addition to his clothing line Andy Davis fans can find art on his website or even commission an original piece.

As a child Andy, after playing in the California sun, would draw his day using crayons. During school it was his escape, picturing being free, what he would do if he weren't in class.

I don't think his statement and vision for his art has changed at all.

High Fashion Kids Clothes

This morning as I looked at Wall Street Journal I was delighted to see the fashion scene is in a tizzy to cater to children (well parents of children) with high fashion sense. A baby Burberry Trench Coat along with Gucci baby flats were displayed on a precious toddler girl.

While this fashion craze isn't "do-able" for most moms today, especially with difficult economic times, the stir will eventually filter down into the more affordable fashion lines and who knows, moms of tomorrow might be able to purchase these "vintage" or ebay in the future.

Wall Street put together several baby styles that are available. Preppy Baby (below) is my favorite with the little baby Sperrys.
